Your Privacy Choices

Two things you can control yourself, and one form to ask us for the third.

1. Stop personalized ads

Emoji Slap is free because it shows ads through Google AdMob. If you allowed tracking when iOS asked, your advertising identifier is shared with Google to personalize those ads. California law calls that “sharing.” We do not sell your personal information for money.

You can turn it off yourself, at any time, and you do not need to ask us:

iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off Emoji Slap.

The game keeps working and you still get ads, they are just not personalized. You can also reset your advertising identifier in the same area of iOS Settings.

2. Manage data we do not hold

Some of the data collected while you play belongs to companies other than us, and we are not the party that can delete it. Going to them directly is faster than going through us:

One limit worth stating plainly: our analytics events are not stored against your installation code, so there is no identifier we can search on to find yours specifically. The only data we hold against the code you send us is gameplay usage: counts, best scores, and which codes you unlocked.

3. Delete the gameplay record we do hold

We keep one anonymous record per installation: games played, best score per mode, which codes you unlocked, and whether a purchase was made. It is filed under an anonymous sign-in with no name, email, or account attached. There is nothing in it that identifies you, which is also why we cannot look you up by email address.

So we need your installation code. Here is how to find it, it takes about ten seconds:

  1. Open Emoji Slap.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap CODES.
  4. Type USERID and submit.
  5. The app shows YOUR ID followed by a 5-character code, for example EXMPL.

Enter that code below. You will get a confirmation email straight away.

We may need to ask you one question first. The 5-character code is short on purpose, so it is not guaranteed to be unique and occasionally two players are issued the same one. When that happens we will email you and ask for something only you can see in your own game, such as your best score in a particular mode or how many games you have played. That is the only way we can be sure we are deleting your record and not someone else’s. If we cannot tell them apart, we will not delete either one.

Deletion is also a point in time. If you keep playing afterwards, a new record starts from zero on your next game.

Prefer email? Write to info@emojislap.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and include your code. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
